Mish-Mosh Marrow

Through dawn’s broad ray of light

Swarmed Mish-Mosh Marrow, with delight

Ever seeking to enhance

A lovely body to create and dance…

Marrow twisted, sought to form

Beings tall, with hearts so warm

Ever seeking to enhance

Virile bodies, beginning their dance…

Unbidden, then, Case did land

Capturing  Marrow in it’s band-

Plexiglas and airless manse-

“Conform,” cried Case, “you’ll never dance!”

Marrow writhed, churning inside

Forming bits, creative stride,

Never stopping, with expanse,

Showing all who’d look an eternal dance.

Notice, singular ray of light

Burning beacon, beckoning bright

Illumining Marrow, twisted by chance

Inside Case, unafraid to dance.

  1. You looked at this picture of bones and found a quite a tale. I love the spiritedness in your words, and that lack of fear.

thanks…seemed like Marrow is the inner being, the essence, so started there. it just kind of came out, which is how i love to write!

I love how the words Mish-Mosh-Marrow feel in my mouth! This one needs to be read aloud not just in your head.

Fantastic! How do you do it?!!

How clever to use the name Marrow and also be referring to inner essence. I’m glad natural marrow does not completely conform to man-made plexiglass case.
